A little boy asked his mother“Why are you crying?”
一個男孩問他的媽媽：“你為什麼要哭呢?”
“Because I‘m a woman，”she told him.
媽媽説：“因為我是女人啊。”
“I don‘t understand，”he said.
男孩説：“我不懂。”
His mum just hugged him and said，“And you never will.”
他媽媽抱起他説：“你永遠不會懂的。”
Later the little boy asked his father，“Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?”
後來小男孩就問他爸爸：“媽媽為什麼毫無理由的哭呢?”
“All women cry for no reason，”was all his dad could say.
他爸爸只能説：“所有女人都這樣。”
The little boy grew up and became a man，still wondering why women cry.
小男孩長大了，成為一個男人，但他仍就不懂女人為什麼哭泣。
Finally he put in a call to God;and when God got on the phone，he asked，“God，why do women cry so easily?”
最後，他打電話給上帝;在上帝拿起電話時，他問道：“上帝，女人為什麼那麼容易哭泣呢?”
God said：“When I made the woman，she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world;yet，gentle enough to give comfort.”

勵志的英文故事：An Ingenious Love Letter 一封絕妙的情書
There once lived a lad who was deeply in love with a girl， but disliked by the girl‘s father， who didn’t want to see any further development of their love. The lad was eager to write to the girl， yet he was quite sure that the father would read it first. So he wrote such a letter to the girl：
My love for you I once expressed
no longer lasts， instead， my distaste for you
is growing with each passing day. Next time I see you，
I even won‘t like that look yours.
I‘ll do nothing but
look away from you. You can never expect I‘ll
marry you. The last chat we had
was so dull and dry that you shouldn‘t think it
made me eager to see you again.
If we get married， I firmly believe I‘ll
live a hard life， I can never
live happily with you， I‘ll devote myself
but not
to you. No one else is more
harsh and selfish and least
solicitous and considerate than you.
I sincerely want to let you know
what I said is true. Please do me a favor by
ending our relations and refrain from

Having read the letter， the father felt relieved and gave it to his daughter with a light heart.
The girl also felt quite pleased after she read it carefully， her lad still had a deep love for her.

勵志的英文故事：A Boy and His Tree 男孩和樹
A long time ago， there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He climbed to the tree top， ate the apples， took a nap under the shadow… He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.
很久以前有一棵蘋果樹。一個小男孩每天都喜歡來到樹旁玩耍。他爬到樹頂，吃蘋果，在樹蔭裏打盹……他愛這棵樹，樹也愛和他一起玩。
Time went by…The little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree.
隨着時間的流逝，小男孩長大了。他不再到樹旁玩耍了。
One day， the boy came back to the tree and looked sad. “Come and play with me，” the tree asked the boy.
一天，男孩回到樹旁，看起來很悲傷。“來和我玩吧!”樹説。
“I am no longer a kid， I don‘t play around trees anymore.” The boy replied， “I want toys. I need money to buy them.”
“我不再是小孩了，我不會再到樹下玩耍了。”男孩答到，“我想要玩具，我需要錢來買。”
“Sorry， but I don‘t have money…but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So， you will have money.” The boy was so excited. He picked all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy didn’t come back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.
“很遺憾，我沒有錢……但是你可以採摘我的所有蘋果拿去賣。這樣你就有錢了。”男孩很興奮。他摘掉樹上所有的蘋果，然後高興地離開了。自從那以後男孩沒有回來。樹很傷心。
One day， the boy returned and the tree was so excited.

“Come and play with me.” The tree said.

“I don‘t have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?” “Sorry， but I don’t have a house. But you can cut off my branches to build your house.” So the boy cut all the branches of the tree and left happily.
“我沒有時間玩。我得為我的家庭工作。我們需要一個房子來遮風擋雨，你能幫我嗎?”很遺憾，我沒有房子。但是，你可以砍下我的樹枝來建房。“因此，男孩砍下所有的樹枝，高高興興地離開了。
The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy didn‘t appear since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day， the boy returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said.

No more apples for you.” the tree said. “ I don’t have teeth to bite.” The boy replied. “ No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now.” the boy said. “I really want to give you something…the only thing left is my dying roots.” The tree said with tears. “I don‘t need much now， just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years.” The boy replied. “Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest. Come here， please sit down with me and have a rest.” The boy sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears…

This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parents. When we were young， we loved to play with Mom and Dad… When we grow up， we leave them， and only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.
