讓人匪夷所思的英式俚語

1、打招呼、稱呼花樣多

-Alright， mate？ Where have you been？

你好啊朋友，最近跑哪去了？

-Aye， nowhere， just dying in bed。 Who’s that lad？

嗨，我哪也沒去，在家癱着而已。那小子是誰啊？

-Oh， that’s my pal， Jimmy。

哦，是我朋友吉米。

Tips：

1）英國人見面時常用的alright、aye就是打招呼説你好的意思，英格蘭北部的人尤其喜歡説aye、aye up

2）mate、pal可能很多人都聽過，就是朋友的意思，類似於美語裏的man、buddy，而像lad一般就是指男孩，小夥子，也常説chap

2、撩人社交必學

-Fancy a drink？

來一杯嗎？

-Blimey， no！ I don’t want to get pissed in the afternoon。

哦天啊，不要！我可不想大下午就醉熏熏的。

-Well then， I’ll get you a cuppa？

好吧，我去給你倒杯茶。

-Cheers。

謝謝。

-My mate invited me to his do tonight， do you want go with me？

我朋友邀請我今晚去他家聚會，要不要一起？

-Sure…Oh sod it！ I forget I’ll have dinner with my mom。

好啊…哦壞了，我忘了晚上要跟我媽媽吃飯。

Tips：

1）fancy本身就是喜愛的意思，英國人非常喜歡用fancy，口語中相當於would you like？也就是詢問你有沒有意向做某事

2）很多英國人把blimey掛在口頭上，其實就是oh my god，英國版我的天吶（小嶽嶽臉）

3）pissed在美語裏是生氣的意思，但在英國俚語中是喝醉的意思哦

4）cuppa不是什麼隨便的a cup of，而是特指a cup of tea！英國人有多愛茶大家都是知道的吧

5）cheers不僅有乾杯的意思，英國人也用它表示感謝，就是謝謝的意思啦

6）do就是party，go to a do就是go to a party

7）sod it也是口頭語，感歎詞，不過是很髒的話了，可以理解成* it

3、不一樣的物件名稱

-You want some sweet to eat with your tea？

你想來點兒糖果伴茶嗎？

-Yeah， that would be nice。 I’ll use the loo， you can turn on the telly first。

好啊，我去下洗手間，你可以把電視打開先。

-Did you watch the show last night？

昨晚的節目你看了嗎？

-Oh I did， how nice is that bloody body！

哦我看了，天啊他的身材太好了！

-Blimey， I love him too。 But I’m afraid the light is on， but nobody’s home。

我的天我也超愛他，不過他好像腦子不太靈光呀。

Tips：

1）英國人説的sweet其實就是candy，而且是所有糖果、巧克力這些小甜食的總稱。

2）loo是toilet廁所，而telly就是television電視啦

3）bloody也是非常英式的一句口頭語，用法非常靈活，有點像美語裏的super，freaking甚至是*ing……

4）the light is on，but nobody’s home應該算是一句俗語了，就是形容人腦袋不靈光的意思，也是非常的匪夷所思……
